Air Canada’s post-bankruptcy re-organisation, Issue 38 Dec 2004/Jan 2005

Air Canada’s well-publicised financial problems started with the merger
with Canadian Airlines in 2000. This was followed by unprecedented levels
of competition. Air Canada has used bankruptcy protection to restructure
its business and expects to eliminate $2 billion of annual cost by 2006.
