PW1000G & LEAP-X: design and probable in-service performance, Issue 93 Apr/May 2014

The Pratt & Whitney PW1000G & CFMI LEAP-X are a few years away from entering service. Both have utilised designs and been configured to provide a large fuel saving over current A320 powerplants. The engines’ designs and their prpbable in-service performance are scrutinised.
