Economics of DC-8 & 707 replacement, Issue 13 Sep/Oct 2000

DC-8 and 707 operators have experienced a rise in operating costs. This
comes during an A300B4 shortage and when values of other types are too
high. Operators may be able to get manufacturers to acquire replacements
for them, or they will have to wait until lease rates are low enough.
