Long-haul market developments 2004 to 2013, Issue 93 Apr/May 2014

Seat capacity on long-haul flights has grown by nearly 50% over the past 10 years. The number of seats provided by 747 operations has reduced in favour of twin-engined widebodies, although average aircraft size is unchanged. Trends in long-haul capacity development are examined here.
