PW1000G testing confirms performance predictions, Issue 62 Feb/Mar ’09

The PW1000G geared turbofan has been conceived to take turbofan engine bypass ratios and their operating efficiencies to a new level. Recent testing by Pratt & Whitney confirms the engine is meeting its performance targets. The engine will power the Mitsubishi MRJ and Bombardier C Series.
