The Engine MRO market struggles to return to normal, Issue 142 Jun/Jul 2022

The engine MRO market suffered a large and rapid decline during the pandemic. All possible techniques to avoid engine maintenance events were used. With traffic reserving and aircraft returning to service, engine shops have seen a a surge in demand for slots. The shops, however, are experiencing staff shortages and supply chain problems. Actual and forecast shop visit numbers for all main engine types between 2019 and 2025 are examined.
