Welcome

We are delighted to welcome you back to the 17th Annual Flight Operations Conference. As always, we have seen and overcome challenges in the past year; but the focus of this event is on building resilience, grasping the future and the exciting opportunities it offers.

Today, it is clear that that Flight Ops cannot function without digital processes. In addition to the collection of data to support efficient processes and decisions with integrated and enhanced IT platforms, there are safety and efficiency benefits to be gained. The challenge, for airlines and operators, is how to unlock those benefits. Meanwhile, the continuing drive to carbon net zero is high on the agenda for most governments which also puts it high on the agenda for Flight Operations. Conflicts continue to close airspace and fuel costs, although below their peak, remain volatile. The cost-of-living crisis with, political and economic uncertainty contribute tangential but real challenges for those operating aircraft.

This year’s Flight Operations Conference offers a great chance to discover and share answers to meet these challenges. As importantly, it also looks to an exciting future with processes and tools for planning and building long-term resilience. Key-note subjects discussed will include digital flight deck and operations, sustainable aviation, the latest real-time flight deck Apps, on-ground and flight deck connectivity, the latest ATC developments, integrating flight ops with M&E using ETLs, the latest aircraft and engines types, and lots more.

As well as demos of the latest, leading digital solutions and Apps, the conference offers unique opportunities for airlines and operators to meet leading flight operations solution vendors in the exhibition hall, discuss the challenges they face and their priorities. The conference agenda will offer the chance to hear from airlines and operators who have already started on the path to a digital future as they share their experiences There will also be the established line-up of industry experts, and more to help you unravel and understand what is happening in Flight Operations today and the exciting opportunities available to airlines and operators in the future.

In 2024 Braathens, the Swedish airline operating a modern fleet of 21 Airbus A319/A320’s and ATR72-600’s, selected #LORETTA from Skykeys as their new FPO Trajectory Optimization solution to be implemented fleetwide during Q2-2024 on their EFB units. This case study focuses on the selection and implementation processes, and now that the solution is live showcases early results and efficiency gains.

As you will see LORETTA presents advanced optimization functionalities to the crew as it is built as an intuitive flight instrument – this offers easy pilot interpretation, as it considers not just the climb phase but optimizes the combined climb, cruise and descent phases based on the precise aircraft weight, actual CG and high resolution 4D weather data. It also facilitates optimization calculations during the cruise phase as it is an off-line capable application carrying all the necessary data sets to support re-calculations in-flight. This enables the crew to re-calculate the flight’s optimization profile based on best economy or changing tactical conditions. The solution does not make decisions for pilots but it empowers them to quickly find the best optimum flyable Trajectory profile under consideration of multiple parameter conditions.

Additionally a sustainability feature is the state-of-the-art Contrail Avoidance technology, enabling pilots to avoid flying in air masses which generate harmful contrails which will stay and spread out during nighttime and reflect energy back to the surface of the earth which increases global warming significantly.

PIVOT also provides custom design services, parts, and accessories for a range of EFB devices. PIVOT products and services are available to both enterprise clients and consumers ranging from global airlines, military flying units, to corporate and general aircraft pilots.

PIVOT’s success in developing robust products for pilots at over 300 airlines and more than 100 military units continues to extend to other aspects of the aviation industry to include ground support personnel, and now the railroad industry. As more industries utilize personal electronic devices to present time-critical company data to their frontline employees, PIVOT is poised to meet those needs in a way that enhances the user’s job performance and increases company return on investment.

With a proprietary software portfolio and deep expertise in vertical domains, TXT operates across different markets, with a growing footprint in Aerospace, Aviation, Defense, Industrial, Government and Fintech.

We make operational efficiency fly – save up to 4% fuel with PACE EFB applications

Our operational efficiency management solutions are based on the unique ability to determine the most cost-efficient, or ECON, trajectory for a specific set of flight conditions, which then serves as a point of reference for economic decisions on board as well as statistical analysis on the ground.

The leading application for EFB-based vertical flight profile optimization, Pacelab Flight Profile Optimizer complements the functional scope of current on-board technology and offers significantly higher fuel-saving potential than the flight management system alone. Calculations with Pacelab Flight Profile Optimizer are based on the best available performance data (first-principles data) and live WX and aircraft data. The software continuously determines the most cost-efficient flight trajectory for the remaining route to destination and supplies an adjusted cost index which can be fed to the FMS. Constraints provided with the briefing package are respected automatically. With the ECON trajectory as a reference, Pacelab Flight Profile Optimizer is able to pinpoint the available cost savings potential for every instant of the flight, giving concise information about fuel burn, overall cost and delay; the latter provides additional support for managing on-time performance.

Get the most out of your fleet – with Pacelab Mission Suite: Route and aircraft mission analysis software
An additional component of the PACE operations productivity catalog is Pacelab Mission Suite. Pacelab Mission Suite (PLMS) is an integrated software solution which supports stra-tegic and tactical statistical analysis of an aircraft’s enroute performance and economics.
PLMS allows the customer to tailor the analysis of payload-range and mission efficiency to the airlines specific business practices and economic models. In addition to route-by-route analysis; PLMS has the power to conduct “what if” analysis of an entire route structure with a single “click”. This is all done within a robust and proven software environment.

Our EFB and aircraft performance solutions will be presented live at our booth. For more detailed information, please get in touch with Oliver Späth (oliver.spaeth@txtgroup.com) or visit our website at www.pace.de.

The system enhances digital compliance monitoring by connecting your documents and regulations. The software ensures complete traceability and automates alerts to notify you about normative changes. In a matter of clicks, you can update the regulations in the new revision and stay compliant for every audit. Our system is connected to the most used compliance libraries worldwide. We have regulations, certifications and requirements from EASA, FAA, CASA, OTAR, and many other standard regulations. Which also facilitates proof of compliance to inspectors and auditors with the dynamic checklists.

We are revolutionizing aviation manuals and regulatory compliance by making the digitization, authoring, and distribution of operational documentation easy and accessible to operators of all sizes. What used to be a laborious manual task is now made simple: the rapid authoring, reviewing, publishing, distribution, and control of an entire manuals library is now a seamless operation.

The entire document cycle is optimized with role-based functionalities that allow you to manage and keep track of every modification in your manuals. Our users increase document control with cross-references showing dependencies between different procedures and manuals and escalating efficiency by tracking changes throughout revisions. Online collaborations empower your team to edit the documents simultaneously, optimizing workflow, approvals, and distribution.

We have developed +150 features to ease the formatting, design, and setup of pages and chapters. All the components are designed to customize your manuals, improve documentation quality, and enrich the experience for all users. Deployed by over 63.000 aviation professionals, our system has proven to solve critical manual standardization challenges and save up to 80% of time and resources on the editing side.
