Conference sponsors:

Welcome

We are delighted to welcome you back to the Airline & Aerospace MRO & Flight Operations IT Conference – Americas 2024. As well as addressing challenges currently faced, this year’s event has a clear focus on technologies that will shape the future of aviation.

As the global pandemic recedes into the past, we find that we are facing new and evolving conflict and global uncertainties impacting the operation of aircraft. There is also the continuing drive to net zero, the perennial need to manage costs and ever-evolving regulation plus the rise of new technologies such as AI. To address this matrix of challenges would be daunting without digital solutions. The digitalization of processes is no longer an option but is an essential. Central to modern airline processes, IT is now the key for sustainability and future growth. The benefits of digitization are clear; agility, flexibility and the speed to address whatever the future holds: unlocking those benefits will be the challenge.

No airlines would consider operating without IT today; the challenge is finding the right IT solution to work with your business model and processes. The best solution providers in the sector will be available at this conference and all under one roof for you to see what they have to offer and hear what they have to say.

Over 2 days in the sold-out Exhibition Hall, airlines, operators and MROs will enjoy unrivalled opportunities to see demos of the latest digital solutions and discuss their own challenges and priorities with the leading vendors. There will also be the usual chance to listen to a full conference agenda of case studies from airlines, operators and MROs, sharing their own digital journeys implementing new and modern IT solutions, including what they have gained and what they have learned.

We look forward to seeing you in Miami in September.

New Technology Keynote: Revolutionary New Jet Fan Efficiency Technology with the potential for 30% reduction in Fuel Burn and Emissions
  • Location: Jasmine
  • Speaker: Peter Ireland, CEO, deltaBurn

In this presentation deltaBurn introduces us to its innovative solution which can be applied to current aircraft engines. As you will see the modification is a proprietary aerodynamic change to the engine’s fan blades, enhancing their outer span aerodynamic performance. Existing fan blade designs are advanced, but have performance constraints that are traditionally common to compressor behaviour. deltaBurn has determined that the current constraints can be mitigated. This results in changes to the thrust output of the fan for a given torque required to turn the fan. The modification is made in situ, the primary benefit being improved transonic and sonic performance of the fan blades, reducing engine core torque, RPM, EGT and fuel flow to achieve a given thrust. The presentation will showcase test results which have demonstrated a 30% reduction in fuel burn and emissions, and outline the background and current status of this potential ground-breaking new technology. [This presentation will challenge
traditional assumptions; it is not conceptual, it has flown to FL450 & Mach 0.80, the envelope of the demonstration jet]

PACE Aerospace & IT, a TXT Group Company, develops and distributes software applications for aircraft and engine manufacturers, civil and military operators, maintenance services and leasing companies. A wide range of turn-key and bespoke solutions helps to optimize key aspects of customers’ business processes, from marketing and design to customization and operations.

TXT, founded in 1989 and based in Milan, is an international IT Group, end-to-end provider of consultancy, software services and solutions, supporting the digital transformation of customers’ products and core processes. With a proprietary software portfolio and deep expertise in vertical domains, TXT operates across different markets, with a growing footprint in Aerospace, Aviation, Defense, Industrial, Government and Fintech.

We make operational efficiency fly – save up to 4% fuel with PACE EFB applications

Our operational efficiency management solutions are based on the unique ability to determine the most cost-efficient, or ECON, trajectory for a specific set of flight conditions, which then serves as a point of reference for economic decisions on board as well as statistical analysis on the ground.

The leading application for EFB-based vertical flight profile optimization, Pacelab Flight Profile Optimizer complements the functional scope of current on-board technology and offers significantly higher fuel-saving potential than the flight management system alone. Calculations with Pacelab Flight Profile Optimizer are based on the best available performance data (first-principles data) and live WX and aircraft data. The software continuously determines the most cost-efficient flight trajectory for the remaining route to destination and supplies an adjusted cost index which can be fed to the FMS. Constraints provided with the briefing package are respected automatically. With the ECON trajectory as a reference, Pacelab Flight Profile Optimizer is able to pinpoint the available cost savings potential for every instant of the flight, giving concise information about fuel burn, overall cost and delay; the latter provides additional support for managing on-time performance.

Get the most out of your fleet – with Pacelab Mission Suite: Route and aircraft mission analysis software
An additional component of the PACE operations productivity catalog is Pacelab Mission Suite. Pacelab Mission Suite (PLMS) is an integrated software solution which supports stra-tegic and tactical statistical analysis of an aircraft’s enroute performance and economics.
PLMS allows the customer to tailor the analysis of payload-range and mission efficiency to the airlines specific business practices and economic models. In addition to route-by-route analysis; PLMS has the power to conduct “what if” analysis of an entire route structure with a single “click”. This is all done within a robust and proven software environment.

Our EFB and aircraft performance solutions will be presented live at our booth. For more detailed information, please get in touch with Oliver Späth (oliver.spaeth@txtgroup.com) or visit our website at www.pace.de.
