The efficiency of the engine shop visit process, Issue 74 Feb/Mar 2011

The engine shop visit process comprises seven phases. Six relate to incoming inspection, disassembly, reassembly and testing; which take 18-24 days. Piece-part repairs vary in the time they require for completion. Not all can be completed if the shop visit is to be completed in the usual total time of about 60 days. This will require the exchange of some parts and modules.
