Conference sponsors:

Welcome

A warm welcome back to the Airline & Aerospace MRO & Flight Operations IT Conference – Americas 2025. As well as addressing continuing industry challenges, there will also be a sharp focus on technologies to ensure that aviation can face the future with confidence.

This year, we facing a number of challenges. Instability, conflict and global tensions as well as the continuing drive to net zero are all having an impact on aircraft operations. Cost control, the drive for efficiency and evolving regulation are perpetual considerations plus the rise of new technologies such as AI is opening the way to new opportunities and efficiencies. That matrix of challenges would be impossible to address without the digital transformation of processes that is underway today.

Sitting at the heart of modern airline and aviation processes, IT holds the key for sustainability and future growth. Digitization benefits such as agility, flexibility and capability to address whatever the future holds, are clear to see: unlocking those benefits is the challenge today, when no airline would consider operating without IT. The key to success though is matching the right IT solution to your specific business model and process needs.

In the sold-out Exhibition Hall at this 2-day conference, airlines, operators and MROs will enjoy unrivalled access to a range of leading vendors to discuss their own challenges and priorities and see demos of the latest digital solutions. There will also be the usual opportunity to listen to a full conference agenda of case studies from airlines, operators and MROs, sharing their own digital journeys implementing new and modern IT solutions, including what they have gained and what they have learned.

We look forward to seeing you in Miami in September.

Porter Airline had been successfully growing its regional market presence, using Toronto’s Billy Bishop Airport (YTZ) as their primary hub and operations center for 29 DHC8 aircraft. Then COVID hit and operations were completely shuttered. During this shutdown, the Porter Executive team developed an aggressive plan to pivot the strategic direction of the Company and take advantage of a market opportunity. Coming out of COVID they announced an order for up to 100 EMB E195-E2’s and a plan to deploy the new aircraft on new routes across North America, and most recently internationally. The logistics to undertake such a plan and execute flawlessly, were immense. While the organization developed plans to hire pilots, flight attendants, and mechanics and train them on the new aircraft, the airline committed to a 6 bay hanger to support the new fleet, and the commercial team redefined their network strategy and partnership agreements to connect passengers. The airline began to realize their traditional IT and business processes may not support the new operational reality.

In response Porter partnered with AeroATeam to help define how their future flight operations would look, the digital assets required to support the carrier, such as crew payroll, safety management systems, and others, plus software integrations, reporting platforms, and crucially mobile solutions. CASE STUDY: Southwest Airlines – Using an AI-Tool to Enhance Maintenance Operations
  • Location: Jasmine
  • Speaker: Barry Lott, Director Maintenance Records and Aircraft Reliability, Southwest Airlines; and Cameron Byrd, CEO, AIXI

In 2019, Southwest Airlines leveraged a new AI tool, from AI startup AIXI, to enhance its aircraft maintenance operations. The initial goal was to standardize and clean its maintenance records with a higher level of accuracy than humans could provide. The AI-enabled tool helps generate a comprehensive database of discrepancies and fixes for its 800-aircraft fleet, improving access to defect trends and recommended fixes. Previously, technicians manually entered maintenance data, which was time-consuming and error-prone. The AI system, trained on years of repair records, uses an industry-specific large language model, not a broad-based approach, to “auto code” ATA entries. It turns shorthand descriptions into detailed and accurate maintenance logs in real-time.This automation improves the speed, accuracy, and accessibility of repair data, setting the groundwork for predictive maintenance efforts.

Southwest has run the AIXI in production since 2022. This presentation will focus on what Southwest has learned, including the system’s success and challenges, as well as look ahead to how this data can support prescriptive maintenance. As you will see, Southwest can leverage the tool to further streamline repairs by empowering technicians with the most likely fixes, to identify chronic aircraft and repeat maintenance issues, and to power a tool that offers fleet-wide insights.

The airline partnered with Emnify to avoid QR-code-based activations, instead using a fully automated eSIM provisioning process integrated into its Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform.  As you will see the easy and secure provisioning of eSIMs via MDM simplified device deployment at scale, ensuring pilots always have access to mission-critical applications without significant manual configuration upfront.

The case study will show the key benefits and how the partnership with Emnify marked a significant digital transformation for Discover Airlines. The airline gained centralized visibility and control over its entire device fleet, implemented automated policy enforcement for security compliance, and now benefits from flexible pricing and multi-network coverage in over 190 countries.

We make operational efficiency fly – save up to 4% fuel with PACE EFB applications

Our operational efficiency management solutions are based on the unique ability to determine the most cost-efficient, or ECON, trajectory for a specific set of flight conditions, which then serves as a point of reference for economic decisions on board as well as statistical analysis on the ground.

The leading application for EFB-based vertical flight profile optimization, Pacelab Flight Profile Optimizer complements the functional scope of current on-board technology and offers significantly higher fuel-saving potential than the flight management system alone. Calculations with Pacelab Flight Profile Optimizer are based on the best available performance data (first-principles data) and live WX and aircraft data. The software continuously determines the most cost-efficient flight trajectory for the remaining route to destination and supplies an adjusted cost index which can be fed to the FMS. Constraints provided with the briefing package are respected automatically. With the ECON trajectory as a reference, Pacelab Flight Profile Optimizer is able to pinpoint the available cost savings potential for every instant of the flight, giving concise information about fuel burn, overall cost and delay; the latter provides additional support for managing on-time performance.

Get the most out of your fleet – with Pacelab Mission Suite: Route and aircraft mission analysis software
An additional component of the PACE operations productivity catalog is Pacelab Mission Suite. Pacelab Mission Suite (PLMS) is an integrated software solution which supports stra-tegic and tactical statistical analysis of an aircraft’s enroute performance and economics.
PLMS allows the customer to tailor the analysis of payload-range and mission efficiency to the airlines specific business practices and economic models. In addition to route-by-route analysis; PLMS has the power to conduct “what if” analysis of an entire route structure with a single “click”. This is all done within a robust and proven software environment.

Our EFB and aircraft performance solutions will be presented live at our booth. For more detailed information, please get in touch with Oliver Späth (oliver.spaeth@txtgroup.com) or visit our website at www.pace.de.

Complete Suite for Airline Operations
Many organizations make do with an assortment of homegrown and off-the-shelf software that completes one function in their operation but doesn’t communicate with other systems without a lot of file sharing, APIs, or error-prone manual labor.

eTT’s SkedFlex Air Operations Suite is a comprehensive, flexible, and easy to use aviation management software suite that provides the operations systems needed without unnecessary overhead and expense. Our suite includes Flight and Crew Management (FCMS), Flight Planning, and Maintenance Tracking (MISA) to fulfill the needs of your airline operations.

Who we are

NABLA Mobility “Weave” every piece in airline’s flight operation by resolving the complexity of data. Our product Weave assists flight ops teams in decision-making, reducing cognitive/workload. With this, they can achieve a new level of operational efficiency, while offloading cumbersome tasks to Weave, and retaining command of critical decision-making with reduced fuel burns. We are also a Boeing-invested startup.

What we provide

Our product Weave bridges the gap between actual field operations and flight operation-related systems. In other words, the manual work performed in the field can be replaced by our latest systems to complete the work more accurately and quickly.

Consider, for instance, the work involved in crafting a flight plan, where field personnel traditionally bear the heavy manual labor. They must tailor each flight plan to individual aircraft, adjust routes based on turbulence conditions, and conduct simulations. Weave streamlines this process by optimizing on behalf of flight planners. It incorporates operational variables often overlooked by conventional flight planning software and integrates respective proprietary forecasts. This not only significantly reduces the time and effort associated with manual work but also enhances the efficiency of flight planning. Consequently, we achieve notable improvements in fuel efficiency, with potential savings of up to approximately 5% in the cruise phase.

Furthermore, NABLA Mobility’s Weave can be seamlessly connected to existing software and EFBs through API integration. This enables further improvement of operational resiliency & efficiency through the centralization of information referenced throughout the entire flight operation, including pilots while reducing system implementation costs.

The data used in Weave incorporates the latest technology developed by NABLA Mobility. For example, we use operational data to create individual performance models for each aircraft, and we use turbulence forecasts that are 7-14 times more accurate than existing wind shear models.

In addition to product demonstrations, we will also be offering a variety of technology demonstrations at our booth. If you prefer to connect after the conference, we can arrange an in-depth conversation or a demo.

Smarten up your documents with Yonder

Smart, fast, reliable – Yonder empowers you to take the next step in critical information management. Using dynamic content rather than static documents, Yonder is the most innovative documentation management solution currently on the market.

Document managers benefit from having their tasks automated, allowing them to focus on subject matter expertise. This is possible due to a unique way compliance linking is incorporated in Yonder on the level of a single information module, ensuring that change requests triggered by a change in a regulation are always shown in the correct place in the document. This is further enhanced by a two-way interface to IQSMS, allowing our customers to link documents to regulations. Furthermore, importing existing Word and OEM documents is a breeze and document revisions from Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, and ATR are largely automated in Yonder.

At the same time end-users do not suffer from an information overload and can find needed information in seconds by using a modern app that was even recognized by Apple. That’s due to Yonder only showing the end-users what’s relevant for their role and task at hand, while allowing them to employ powerful filters and search to further narrow down data. They can also personalize documents with their own highlights and notes which are automatically taken over between revisions. And when a new document revision is published, end-users are only prompted with change notifications for the changes that are relevant to their user group.

A fully integrated documentation system: What sets Yonder apart

Stay compliant with current regulations, increase productivity, reduce costs and ensure that employees are always up to date with all relevant information at glance. Yonder combines operations manuals, company documents and aircraft manufacturers’ handbooks together in one place.
